Rep. Tony Tinderholt's bill sought to address that.

HB 3432 requires voters to formally affiliate with a political party to vote in that party's primary election. The bill mandates that voter registration applications and certificates include party affiliation and establishes procedures for changing party affiliation. Voting in a party's primary without affiliation is penalized as a felony offense.
